PERSONAL
CLOTHING: |
|
In selecting clothing
to bring, please bear in mind that most of the programme is ‘out of doors’.
As the weather might be inclement, a full range of outdoor clothing
to change into would
be advisable. A drying room is available, plus a spin dryer, tumble
dryer and washing machine. But experience has shown that it is better
to bring too many clothes than too few!
Please take into account waterproofness, windproofness, weight and
insulation against the cold - N.B. trapped air provides the best
insulation.
The emphasis on dress in the Centre is on comfort and practicality.
There is no formal dress code.
You
should bring clothing which is warm, which you will not mind
getting wet or muddy and allow several changes. As a guide,
you will need:-
-
At
least 3 sets of outdoor working clothes such as ‘gardening
clothes’, boiler suits or track suits.
-
Outdoor
walking boots or stout shoes and wellington boots.
-
2
pairs of gym shoes or trainers.
-
2
pairs of thick wool socks.
-
Sweaters/sweatshirts/pullovers
-
Swimming
trunks/costume.
-
Personal
toiletries, including soap and 2 towels.
-
Adequate
waterproof clothing (if you have them)
-
Woolen
balaclava/hat and gloves.
-
Torch.
-
Informal
wear for evenings.
We will be able to supply waterproofs if you do not have your own.
If
you have any queries about this list of clothing or about the
programme in general, please do not hesitate
