What
is Targeted Response Training?

Right
at the planning and commissioning stage, we work with you to identify
a clear goal that must be linked to a customer improvement. This
might be an internal customer, but even here it should be linked
to an external customer - to the people who pay your wages!
From
this we develop with you a strategy to ensure the benefit is delivered!
This is the essence of targeted response training. It's not about
the training or about the skills of the delegates it's all about
adding value to your customers. Training on it's own is just an
overhead - a cost. Developing improvements for your customers is
an investment.

Targeted
Response Training - not just words

The
training sets out do deliver a measurable improvement for your
customer (the target) and the outcome of the development will be
a change in that customer's perception or satisfaction levels (the
response).
To
facilitate this, we challenge the team or leader to change something
in terms of what they know, the skills they use and their attitude
to deliver improvements to your customer (the training).
Your
leaders and teams are focused upon critical behaviour& attitudinal
shifts but these changes alone is not the goal of the programme.
We
measure your delegates' ability to delight your customers at the
start, train them in targeted knowledge, skills and attitudes to
deliver the strategy we have agreed with you for customer improvement.
Then we measure them again afterwards. - we remain focused and
we keep your team focused on one goal only - improvement to the
customer.
It's
not rocket science, but amazingly, very few companies do this well

training that isn't training!

Training
using Target Response Training techniques isn't training at all!
A team development event using Targeted Response Training is a
strategy workshop. Any team building that occurs is completely
incidental, but no less valuable for it. The expectation of the
event is however completely different. We are not interested in
how wonderful you are, we don't care how well you work together.
We are even less concerned with what you know or what you have
already achieved. We care about one thing only - Does your customer
think your exceptional? What do you do with what you know, how
do you leverage your experience? How do you exploit great products
or service to ensure your customer is your total concern.
With
TRT, your team will have identified goals and developed a strategy
for achieving this. Job done you might think -wrong we would say!
All
activities, communications and decisions will keep coming back
to the agreed goal of customer improvement. Everything else is
irrelevant.
Your
delegates' performance will be monitored and reviewed against
the goal. At the end of the event, your team will conduct an
assessment against the goals and provide a structure for future
reinforcement and further development. Again job not finished!
How
